Brand Identity + IllustrationThe team at Kimpton came to us with an exciting brief: launch their first-ever European resort. Set in Mallorca, they had acquired the much-loved Santa Ponsa Country Club – a striking stone hideaway wrapped in lush greenery. Our role was to shape it into something entirely new.

Kimpton required branding for the hotel and its two destination restaurants, beginning with the name and extending through to guest experience concepts and key highlights.
The brand identity was inspired by a contemporary interpretation of traditional country club life. The concept was rooted in the hotel’s relaxed atmosphere, enriched with nods to fashion, local art, and culture. Earthy, yet uplifting tones reflect the island’s natural landscape, while minimalistic design and elegant typography introduce refined curves and organic textures, evoking a sense of modern luxury.
Mallorca is known as the home of the gecko lizard, so it naturally became a playful emblem for the brand. We illustrated the gecko in a minimal, carving-inspired style to reflect the traditional art of the island, while complimenting our logo and overall relaxed identity.
The on-site destination restaurant, SABA, blends traditional Spanish produce with Japanese recipes and techniques. Serving exceptional dishes from morning until night, the identity draws inspiration from the motif of the rising and setting sun – a nod to its Japanese heritage and the vibrant orange colour further connects to the famous Sóller oranges found on the island.

Poolside Dining
Zayt is a relaxed, all-day dining restaurant by the pool, offering fresh island produce, crafted into simple recipes. Named after the Arabic word for oils, we crafted the adaptable logo to reflect the fragrant swirl of blended oils. The vibrant blue used throughout the identity was inspired by the glistening pool and the clear Mallorcan sky.
